In the first instance, call or email us to discuss your requirements. Initially form and function are the most important elements, dimensions and choice of materials are also required. From this we can usually discuss design and cost before going on to preliminary sketches.

None of our furniture is flat-packed, it is constructed using traditional joinery skills.

Finishes include

• Oil finish – water resistant oil finish
• Clear lacquer finish – available in matt, satin or full gloss & in a range of products including pre-catalyst lacquer, Acid catalyst lacquer & polyurethane lacquer. All are a coat on coat system of base coats & finish coats.
• Pigmented paint finish – colours can be matched to your requirements available in matt, satin or full gloss & in a range of products including pre-catalyst, Acid catalyst & polyurethane. All are a coat on coat system of base coats & finish coats.

SPK Cabinet Making has been making high quality, bespoke furniture for over 25 years.

We are experts in both the design and manufacture of bespoke furniture,  and win the vast majority of our work from architects, specifiers, designers and referrals from existing customers. Our clients can be found across the length of mainland Britain, and the growth in both our reputation and a more comprehensive online presence has helped that expansion.

Originally based in Birmingham, this provided an excellent base from which to support our core base in London, the South and up through the Midlands. Over recent years, however, alongside the expansion of our customer base, our growing online presence has virtually replaced our need for a showroom. The ability we now have to showcase our entire range of products online means even those local to us have preferred to do the ‘legwork’ online. We are able to communicate with them in so many different ways, most of which would have been unimaginable 25 years ago.

So, in 2015, we took the decision to relocate  to Eskdalemuir, in the Borders area of Scotland. The location offers not only stunning views and an endlessly inspiring environment, but also the ability to manage design, workshop functionality and a more environmentally friendly approach to working and waste control, all under one roof.  Our close proximity to the M6 motorway, the main trunk road from North to South, means we can also continue to travel – for design and delivery – to all our customers, where required.

SPK Cabinet Making prides itself on its individual approach to every piece of furniture we are asked to create. We believe, in this age of continually improving communication and transport connections, this move will only enhance our ability to deliver that.
